SD-Video (CPRM Optional)

Standards Make Video More Portable

SD-Video specifies the audio and video codecs and file format that allows users to view video on a multitude of consumer electronics built to SD standards. Unlike SD-Audio, use of CPRM is optional. Users can even record digital broadcasts onto their mobile phones and other devices. Users need to use CPRM compliant SD memory cards for broadcast recording and commercial video recording.

SD-Video supports a myriad of formats, including MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264 and VC-1.

Broadcasting Content Recording

The digital high-vision broadcast program can be saved by recording the image quality converted to the standard definition quality or less in the SD memory card with CPRM, and in the case of the one-segment broadcast program recording, it can be saved with the image quality as it is.
